Well, despite a busy and tiring morning with my daughter at a showjumping competition, the weather was just too nice to miss out on a walk! We had a gentle stroll around the village and were very pleased to find the sunshine had brought out various insects 🙂
Bumblebees (sadly, many of them with mites)
Ladybirds, Hoverflies and other flies
And the first butterfly I’ve seen so far this year!
I found these tiny flowers which I’ve discovered are called Barren Strawberry:
The Flowering Blackcurrant bushes by the village pond are bursting out with leaves and flower buds:
Sadly the Snowdrops are all finished now. Just a few tatty looking heads remain.
And finally, I got some nice shots of a Chaffinch while at the riding stables this morning.
